Tips/Hints

What goes into a pink teenage girl's room?

  • Snacks, magazines, maybe catalogs for education/career opportunities on a window seat, posters on the wall, cork-board with photos of friends, timetables, etc.
  • How about a vanity... with a bright pink "tutu" skirt on it... white with black polka dot ribbon for the top accent trim... a little white lamp... with the reverse ribbon (black with white polka dots) used for the lamp shade... and very tiny bright pink marabou trimming the upper and lower edges... and just so it's not TOOOO Bright Pink, Black and White... some throw cushions in bright green with coordinating white/black ribbon trims ... and perhaps a few bright green, bright yellow perhaps purple bows accenting things? There needs to be a bean bag chair in orange to really set it off!
  • Of course.. there must... be a laptop in the scene!
  • Don't forget the teen's make up all over the place... and CD's/DVD's! BTW... does she play an instrument??
  • And a pic of "her love" (as of that moment at least! LOL) or a poster on the wall of her favorite musical group or person!
  • Is she a bit of a new age hippie? With all the bright colors back in... bet you could find some wonderful smiley faces and happy flowers in the girls hair care section of your favorite $ stores!
  • One of those big white fluffy rugs on the floor and a dog on it. If you're a neat freak, you may not like this next idea but clothes strewn across the floor.
  • A girly writing desk and a message board on the wall along with some art or posters. A computer on her desk and books like she is doing homework and just taking a break.
