MIni treasures wiki's history
Mini treasures wiki was established by Johanna Janhonen in 2009. Back then she was looking for a job and needed a show case for job interviews to prove what she can do. She had earlier started a dollhouse wiki in Finnish called Nukkekotiwiki, already in 2006 and had got some people editing that. So she translated parts of the wiki and created a lot of social media and other sites to market the new wiki globally. After the site had been open for just a few months Linda McD from Canada found it and started editing it - a lot. Soon Johanna gave Linda the moderator rights.
In the beginning PBworks charged 500$ a year about the wiki maintenance so to gather the money Johanna tried Amazon affiliation and other projects. At the moment PBworks is not charging anything from Johanna and Amazon has closed it's affiliation project so Johanna is not losing money nor gaining money from MTW. She is living her rush years now and do not have time for Mini treasures wiki but is happy there are other people taking care of the site. She is dreaming the MTW could be the hidden treasure of many miniaturists around the world.
And did she find a job then? Well she did but then she started her own company and is organizing a big seminar called CMAD for Finnish social media managers and community managers. She is also creating content for her customers in a wiki - Wikipedia that is. Feel free to contact Johanna, she is @jjanhone in most of the social media channels.
