Countries as viewed by miniaturists
You can navigate in this wiki by countries and nationalities.
In the country pages (like Canada) you will find out what the country has to offer miniaturists - links to clubs, shows, and what to shop if you are visiting as well as a brief summary about the hobby and famous artisans. See magazines, museums and shops from their own pages.
In the nationality pages (like Canadian) you will find projects specific to Canada - mini projects, e.g. about famous Canadian people, food, parties and places. Because of ethnic variations, subheadings delve more deeply into minorities which are a part of the population. Some ethnic groups may intersect, eg, Romani groups are present across Europe. There are pages for blogs and forums divided by their main languages. The blogs and forums mentioned in nationality pages handle mini projects related to the nationalities e.g. in Egyptian page there could be list of dollhouse and roombox blogs with blogs in English, Egyptian, Dutch and Finnish and link to a Japanese diorama forum about Egyptian projects.

Are you travelling to a country that you would like to be added to this list? Tell!

Are you making a project inspired a country or an area that is not yet listed here? Tell!

My thinking here is that the reason the UK has so many nationality links on this page is that each nationality is an actual country, as opposed to being a region or state within a country.
Within the country and nationality pages are links to regions. eg for the USA, : Hawaiian, Native American, Southwest American - these are all regions or states, which are a part of the USA.

i have a new idea related to countries and i hope someone can elaborate it. if we had a common map (e.g. my map on google maps or something similar) where we could add all places a miniaturist should see in a town. when visiting a new town it would be easy to see the mini places, reviews of them and then plan a route. do you have a solution for this? :)

Re: map idea. This looks like a great idea, and wouldn't it be wonderful. That is really what visitors and locals would love to see. Anyone seen anything like this on the net? Would it update itself? (a common problem on websites and VERY frustrating!)
OK, now this is for batch editing. I have made a folder for countries and nationalities in the pages and files section tab. This makes it easier to make changes to all the files within the folder.

the map would be edited with wiki style by any of us miniaturists including shopkeepers and museum representatives - surely they are motivated to keep the data up-to-date.
havent tested batch editing yet, need to try it.
