Well, we made it through the darkest days of winter! 
Let's see what we can do to relieve the mid-winter blahs! Such a dull month, not quite winter or yet spring, with Christmas celebrations well in the past and Easter in the future.

Folklore and traditions about February.

Take comfort that February is the shortest month of the year, and it is heart month, with Valentine's day on the 14th.  Also, leap year occurs every 4 years. Does anyone remember Sadie  Hawkins Day? - the 29th of February, when single women can ask their man on a date, or even propose!

OOOOHHH, and Groundhog Day, when everyone hopes it is cloudy so the groundhog doesn't see its shadow and return to its burrow to wait out another 6 weeks of winter!
