Miniature Glass Tips/Hints
- visit your local pharmacist of health food store, find empty capsules. Use grommets from the fabric store or pierced earring stops as a base. Caution - don't use water-based glue - it will dissolve the capsule! To create gold trim, put a bit of paint on a flat surface, twist the drinking edge of the capsule facedown in it.
- glass compote - find a clear pony bead, glue to the base of a suction cup
- Cut Glass with string - from Crafty, Happyscrappy,
- Make drinking glasses from clear drinking straws.Cut it to length, then rub a bit of Aileens glue inside (removes the foggy appearance of the straw.)To make a glass bottom, by spreading glue across the bottom. When dry, drip some glue inside the straw to drop to the bottom to thicken it a bit.
