Deciding the name for this page was not that simple since the definitions for Middle East vary from country to country. Here the Middle East is defined like in Wikipedia: The Middle East (or, formerly more common, the Near East) is a region that spans southwestern Asia, southeastern Europe, and northeastern Africa.

You might also be interested in Oriental, Asian and African.

Hollywood interpretations such as Lawrance of Arabia, Wind and the Lion show romanticized versions of the  turbulent history in the area.
