Silver Saddle - by Pattycake Miniatures. " has finally finished photos of my miniature Western shop, named "The
Silver Saddle". Here in Texas, my hometown is known as "The Cowboy Capital of the World", because we have had at least 7 World's Champion Cowboys come from this county. Tourism in our little Western town, with its shops, saloons, rodeos and dude ranches, is a huge part of our local economy. I designed and made this building and many of the hundreds of miniatures in the shop.

Research/ Inspiration

Tips/Hints

  • Spurs - look at watch parts for tiny gears
  • To make a cowboy hat, shape a Fimo form and bake it. Then cut a circle of leather for the brim, and larger circle to cover the Fimo form. wrap the Fimo with plastic wrap tightly.  then spray both the pieces of leather both sided with water and fabric softener (do both pieces in case of a color change), Now stretch the bigger piece over the Fimo and tie an elastic around it to dry. You want this very very tight so pull the leather as you place it on the form.
