Sharon Ojala
Hi everyone! I'm a Finnish girl born in Canada. I original started into miniatures for my children around 2010. I was a single mother and couldn't afford store bought things for the dollhouse so began making them myself. Once I realized I could make stuff myself and the kids loved it, I was hooked! I no longer wanted to buy stuff for the dollhouse, I wanted to make it myself! Shortly after that I began making Gnomes and other creatures to go into a tree stump dollhouse I made for myself. I began a fb page called Dollhouses and The Things That Go In Them in 2011 but in Jan of 2019 I decided that no longer suits the world I'm building. I have a new page called Where The Gnomes Live. I'm building a forest for the Gnomes to live in and provide youtube tutorials for the methods I use. I mostly build with foil and tape. I have no wood working skills so building with foil has opened up a whole new world for me! I want to share that with everyone. See how I recently built steps around a fake tree here
Sherri Goines
Hi I'm Sherri Goines. I live in Gastonia N.C. about 30 mins from Charlotte. I'm 66years old and I just started to build my very first doll house from scratch. I'm making everything in it. Never had one but after seeing all the beautiful work everyone has done, I had to try to make one. I love finding . it new hobbys to do. I have learned so much looking at the things others are doing its just amazing. As a new member I'm excited to see how things are done. This is my new passion. I have already picked my next house in kit form. I'm itching to get started as soon as I finish the one I'm working on. It is slow going since I thought the inside should be finished first well guess what I'm now working on the out side which should have been 1st. Lesson learned from the group. Anyway thank you for allowing me to join this group I'm sure I will learn alot
Sarah Scala
Hi, I'm Sarah. I live in Columbus, Ohio. I've loved miniature things ever since I can remember but I never had any or made any. I'm a crafty person but not a great artist so things can be tough for me to get the hang of! My current obsession is printables. I need to learn how to make better quality ones with the proper software but I am doing well just using my regular computer software and the internet and buying them to assemble. I have a dollhouse, actually 2, one is still in the box and the other is put together and was purchased used. I have all the things I want to put in both of them - now I just need to do it! I also make minis to sell in my eBay store but I've only been doing that within the last year or so. One thing I wish is that the printies and other pages in this group have links that still work. There's so much I click on that I am dying to see and learn but the links are dead. I look forward to being in this group!
Judy Mazikar

Vera Rijgersberg - Montheron
I am Vera Rijgersberg, from the small town Kapelle in the southwest of the Netherlands. Entered the world of dollhouses and miniatures in 1998 with building and decorating a simple first dollhouse with factory made items, quickly followed by a French maison du maître decorated in classic, luxurious style with selfmade miniatures. The project that followed was a miniature shop in an antique sowing machine cover, also with mostly selfmade miniatures. Lack of space in my own home and the desire to continue the production of miniatures, I simply continued making beautiful miniature furniture, soft furnishing and accessories and put them on a website www.montheron.nl to inspire and offer them for sale to interested miniature and dollhouse lovers from all over the world. My style is classical, rich, French, baroque, luxurious and exquisite. All items are unique, handmade, handcrafted or handpainted.
Elaine Sanderson
I am Elaine Sanderson. I work in 1 inch, half-inch and quarter inch scales mostly. My absolute favourite is half-inch, but I never seem to get much chance to work in that scale because of all my 1 inch and quarter inch UFO's. I don't have a house. I mainly work in vignettes, small pieces like the Xmas cabinets for my kids, and similar small projects. I do have a set of three wall-hanging half-inch scale houses from Avon. Two are furnished with the Avon sets. The other one I am working on with regular minis from kits and my own work and purchases. This year I am working on some special XMas tree ornaments.
Marthe Hook
Hi I'm Marthe from Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. I enjoy miniature gardening/fairy gardening and have an online store in that vein (fairygarden.ca). I have a thing about putting micro fairy gardens in mini fairy gardens. Silly, I know. I want to learn more about making scale work for this kind of thing. And I'm just happy to be able to hang out with some people who get my fascination with tiny things:). I've just fairly recently discovered the wonders of polyclay and I'm finding lots of good ideas here. Its alot of fun being able to make my own garden thingies. My new blog The Fairy Garden- DIY Fun with Fairy Gardens is at thefairygarden.ca (for the Pinterest board - it looks a little lonesome over there)
My name is Julia and I'm a DIY hobbyist around a medical school schedule. I had a
dollhouse when I was young andhappened to live across the street from a wonderful store in New Hampshire called Earth and Tree Miniatures, who received all of my allowance every week. That dollhouse suffered from the amateur hands of a twelve year old and a mice infestation; But even though it's long gone, I've neverstopped loving miniatures and recently re-entered the miniatures hobby with more nimble hands and access to lots of fun tools (like a laser cutter!). Right now, I'm working on a miniature dorm room (pictured to the right) and I hope to be a worthy contributor to this wonderful wiki :-).
I created the name Enchanticals. It describes not only my creations, but the imaginary land, Enchanticals, which I also created, where enchantment is always afoot and whimsy is the norm.
At Enchanticals you will find… all kinds of enchanted handmade one-of-a kind creations, made predominantly from found objects and nature, such as altered miniature dollhouse scale (1:12th scale) wizard/spooky and haunted/witch/faerie furniture and accessories; elementals’ and other magical bottles; enchanted wands; rare and powerful orbs situated in “ancient’ wands and crystal balls; magic wands, potion bottles; miniature dollhouse scale dioramas and vanities; fashion doll vanities and accessories, as well as jewelry; human jewelry; creations from nature and pertaining to the elements; and much more…
My goal with each of my creations are to make them enjoyable usable works of art; to enchant, surprise, and delight the audience; to challenge the audience to use their imagination to discover the unique and creative pieces made from found objects; and to feel amazement and wonder at how the original purpose of each found object has changed and become something else entirely.

Hello! I've just joined, and trying to learn how this works! I'm doing a stick-build replica of my grandmother's 2 story farmhouse. So far, I have the first floor base with wiring underneath, fireplaces, and one interior wall. Anyone else ever done a stick build?

Hello everyone! I am new to miniatures but it has not taken me long to fall truly, madly and deeply in love with this wonderful hobby. Lately my blog has been attracting new followers in part because of the blogging tutorials I do on a regular basis designed specifically for miniaturist bloggers. Over the next year I will have more time to devote to learning and practising miniature skills and taking part in Jazzi's linky parties! You can visit my blog here: http://miniaturemavendiaries.blogspot.ca/
Jazzi Ash
Hello everyone! Firstly, I would like to thank Linda McD for inviting me to join MTW. I live in Australia and enjoy making all kinds of miniatures but my preference is modern. I have learnt so much since setting up my blog and made some wonderful new friends. It is a buzz when you see the things you have done or made on someone else's site or like on here when I Googled my own name and found MTW had referenced me a few times! I enjoy swapping ideas with others and have a regular Mini Link Party every Monday . This is FREE for miniaturists all around the world to join in and promote their blog, Etsy shops , website or giveaway.

Hi everyone, I have been into miniatures for several years now. I live in Oviedo, Florida, in the US. I began my hobby in miniatures by working on model railroads. Then I discovered doll houses! I started my own company making dollhouse trim in 2010, Heritage Laserworks. I constantly look for dollhouse information because I would like to learn how to make my projects look very warm, lived in,and personal.
Anne Sievänen
Hello everybody! I'm a dollhouse and miniature enthusiast from Lahti, Southern Finland. I have two dollhouses, one "ready" and the other one (a Greenleaf house "Arthur") in progress. I've been into this hobby for about 8 years. First just on my own, later by joining a local dollhouse club and a year ago by starting a blog. I've got so many connections and sources of inspiration via blogs that I could never have guessed, when I started this hobby. I'm constantly wondering, how a hobby can be so versatile and inspiring as this is!

Irina Saarenmäki (a.k.a. Narina Näpertää )
Hi, I'm Irina + 40 entrepreneur or "self-employed person" *grin* ( I own a small gift/joke shop with my husband) and mother of four teenagers, from Western Finland.
I found the world of dollhouse miniatures about three -four years ago and I've been on that road ever since.. I love working with recycled materials, using whatever comes in my way... In other word - I try to make "trash to treasures" :0) And I LOVE making minis from clay (mainly Fimo or Cernit)... I enjoy creating my little things with On/Off way - I either don't do anything or I do many things at the same time almost around the clock. Unfortunately - nearly always - my skills don't match my wishes *grin*, but I do all my works with "big heart" and with lots of love :0)
I love everything witchy - and yes, Halloween is on of my favorite times of the year (^ ^) - as well as Christmas. I also adore the world of Brambly Hedge - I wish that in some day - I get to make on house or a box with that theme... Or in Harry Potter theme *lol*
One has to have dreams - eh (^ ^)
Got my first TWO dollhouses on Christmas 2011 -both houses are mystery to me, don't know their name and don't know their scale :0) - now I just have to find time to work with them.
My Blog can be found here http://narinanapertaa.blogspot.com/

Hello! I live in the state of Wisconsin, in the U.S. I've been interested in miniatures for about 25 years; since the moment my mother and I picked up a dollhouse kit on an after-Christmas sale. Heather Gillbanks, GSOLFOT
Hi! I am Heather, living in Houston, TX, US. I am 40, and work full time+ at a major multinational to support the family and my hobbies. My grandmother and I used to do minis together, so I guess that's where/ when the bug bit me. Recently I found out that my great grandfather - who I never even met - also made miniatures! I have always loved teeny things, as long as I can recall. I enjoy making vignettes for people, to inspire them from this great hobby. My creations hang in many people's houses now, and every one of them has pride of place. How much cooler can it be?
My DD Melissa (15) shares some of my interest in mini things, though she tends to prefer virtual dollhouses like The Sims. My DH Neil is generally pretty supportive, even supplying me with bits and pieces as he finds them. I have been a member of the GSOLFOT club for 6 years now, which I have found the most FUN part of minis. I learn a lot, and it is great to have support and friendly (but constructive) comments from others on my projects. You can find me from Webshots or my blog.
Liz Dieleman
Hi, my name is Liz Dieleman. I am 48 years old and live in the countryside just south of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. My grandfather built me a dollhouse when I was 8 years old and I still have it. I have always been enthralled by anything and everything small. When I got laid off from my job 17 years ago, I started a dollhouse and miniature store in the basement of my home. It grew into a full service miniature store until 1 1/2 years ago when, after 16 years in business, I decided it was time to take life easier and move the business online: Grandpa's Doll House. I now do shows and online sales and have more time to enjoy my hobby myself. Over the years I have met a multitude of wonderful people who are involved in this amazing hobby. I have joined 3 miniature clubs (had to cut back to one because of time constraints) and taken many wonderful miniature workshops over the years. The camraderie and friendships developed over time have become an integral part of my life since my children are grown up and finding interests of their own.
I have a wonderful husband, Wayne, two daughters, Brittany, 21 and Jenny, 19, son-in-law-in-training, Dave, and a new grandson, Quintin, 6 months. My daughters share my passion for minis and belong to the miniature club as well. We are currently working on a 1/2 scale english cottage designed and taught by Lauretta Castelyns, a very talented miniaturists that we are lucky enough to have belong to our club. We are all enjoying it immensely.
I am very fortunate in that I have become good friends with Canadian artisan, Judith Blondell. She has become like a mother to me (I call her that sometimes just to let her know how much I love her......lol) and she has taught me a number of things over the last few years. She is cherished by my whole family and I have been blessed to own many of her works of art. She makes items from leather.........shoes, chairs, luggage, etc..........paper and fabric. She teaches many workshops for my business and we love having her stay with us!
I have recently opened a small workshop/showroom in my home along with my website and enjoy making items to sell as well. I am thrilled to find this site and look forward to exploring it fully and meeting new people.
Püppilottchen
Hello, my name is Nicola. I live in Germany in a small town in North Rhine Westfalia, called Minden. I loved dolls & dollshouses since my childhood and i still do. This year i recovered the Lundby furniture and the Caco dollshouse dolls from my childhood days in the 70s. I kept the family, called the „Lundbys“ and the furniture well for all the years, but i unfortunately gave the house away. So i bought another 70s Lundby dollshouse „the Lundby Gothenburg/Göteborg“ and an extensions for my "Lundbys" and now i´m totaly addicted to everything around Lundby again ;D. At my blog: Püppilottchen´s toy blog, you can read a lot about the house and the family and also about other toys like Kathe Kruse/Käthe Kruse dolls – my other hobby. I made a flickr album, too – if you like to see more pictures of my minis.
Marottesud
Hello, I'm Marottesud and I live in south of France. I always loved tiny, small things but I started to enter in the miniature world with perfumes samplers I collected when I was a child. I discovered dollhouses when I was 20 during a stay in USA. Back in France, dollhouses miniatures weren't easy to find at this time so I began to craft mine and bought some books to help me. Then went Internet and the worldwide stuff in my house, my miniature collection increased with the easy shopping and all those wonderful projects sites I found. As I'm a great reader too, I choose to make miniature books that you can see on Flickr. They help me to create home decor in my little collection.
Callsmall
I loved miniatures when I was small, and this fascination and curiosity was reignited when my husband bought me a Villa Sibi for Christmas 2008. I began my blog in January 2009 and my eyes have been opened to a whole new (old) hobby that brings me a lot of joy. I started a wiki in August -- it is a resource for Re-ment items in 1:12 and will hopefully help people find pieces that work in different settings. Modernist miniatures are of great interest to me (especially vintage German items), and I am restoring a modern-style doll house. I do my hobby whenever I can and it has been great connecting with talented people all over the world. I have also connected with my daughter through my hobby, which adds to the fun!!
Madelva Fernandez
I am so lucky to have dedicated my last 16 years to miniatures. I have 24 dollhouses but none of them is half decorated yet. I like to consider myself as a miniature artisan, though my job is searching about miniatures and show them in real size.
Hello, I've recently started to re-collect my childhood toys! It all started when I moved to my first house and cleared my parents loft. I came across my old dolls house made by Oakleaf and very much like Lundby. All the furniture was Lundby or Barton and had stood the test of time, unfortunately the house was beyond repair. I began my bitter sweet affair with Ebay soon after, which continues!!! Having nearly completed my Lundby house and purchased all the things that were on my childhood wish list I remembered my other favorite toy. So began the same process with Sindy! I absolutely love her and all she stood for, as a child of the 70's, you could get no better! I collect mainly the era I remember most, but have been know to stray....I've recently began to re-root, change limbs and repaint and repair some of my less cared for dolls, giving them a new lease of life. I also have a mild flirtation with Pailtoy Pippa and Vintage FisherPrice. I adore junk shops, auctions and carboot sales and can't walk pass a charity shop, you never know whats lurking inside. Happy Collecting :)
Hello, my name is Béatrice. I live in France near Fontainebleau , 75km Paris. I started my dollhouse hobby in 2000 . I realised 4 projects. First a kit, after a dutch dollhouse, a dollhouse for bears and now a great castle since 2005. I create also dolls and miniature accessories links. All about miniatures is a real passion. My websites: Allée des maisons de poupées et les Miniatures de Béatrice.
Mary Ciccolella - Don"t Make a Scene
I have lived in New Jersey US all my life and my husband bought me a dollhouse about 25 years ago. I still have it, unfinished in my basement, but since then have collected or made things for a Christmas House, Haunted House, Gazebo, office room box, etc. My photos are posted on flickr and I am in love. Would like to spend more time doing miniatures, actually would like to spend all my time doing miniatures! Trying to create items I have not seen done before and working on fossils in 1:12 scale, which is the scale I work in.
Helene a.k.a. Pubdoll
Hello, my name is Helene. I live in Skien in Telemark in the southern part of Norway. I have been interested in miniatures for as long as I can remember and got my first Lundby doll's house when I was seven. I still have one extension floor from I was a child and a lot of the furniture. For many years I did nothing with my dollhouse, but after I got a friend with the same interest and at the same time fond a used Lundby Stockholmhouse at a fleamarket I took up this hobby again. Two years ago I discovered ebay and the blog world, and from then on the time and money spent on this hobby has just escalated. Since then I bought 3 new Lundby extensions, a modern Stockholm house and built both extensions and a facade in lego. My nickname is pubdoll, because one of the first things I did after discovering ebay was making my long wanted pub. Most of the interior in it are made by me, but all the bottles are bought. Pubdolls is also the name of my blog and my Flickr page. One of the things I have fun with now, that I never did when I was a child, is to use dolls to make stories. Now I have about 20 dolls and all of them have their own personalities and background histories. Many of their names my family have come up with, and that's another reason this hobby has escalated, because now I have children in the right age to share my interest. And my daughter has also her own dolls and two houses, one of them the old one from my childhood.
Minna Lepänaho-Hatara
I am Minna, a married mom of two children. I live in Kouvola in the South-Eastern Finland. I got interested in dollhouses in summer 2004, when I found the Jim's Dollhouse Pages on the Net. I found a lot of nice printables there and I wanted to try them. I first made a small cardboard house and I printed some furniture for it. Then I made a small dollhouse in a bookcase. I bought some stuff for it and I also started to learn how to make minis myself. And after that, I wanted a real dollhouse. I made the plans for my first house and my husband helped me to build it. At the moment I have seven dollhouses: the house of the Riikonen family, the Riikonen's sauna/guest house, Lyydia's shop, Erlenhof, Moomin house and two Lundbys. I like to try different kinds of techniques with making minis, but my passion is crocheting miniatures. Welcome to visit my blog Minna's Doll World!
Hanna Meronen (Hannajaleijona, Hanna & Leijona)
Hi! I live in Hämeenlinna Finland close to a medieval castle and a beautiful lake. I've loved miniatures as long as I can remember, but it's been a hobby (obsession one might say) and filled my freetime since 2006. I really like to make things myself, trying everything, but I've made my houses using wooden structure and papier-mache and I sell mainly felted pets and toys for dollhouse dolls. I collect too many things, am building a small library of dollhouse-related books and appreciate many styles of miniatures. I work mainly approximately 12th scale, but am not a perfectionist in scale and accuracy. Welcome to my blog, Hanna & Leijona and if you want to see photos, here is my Flickr-page with things I've made and Pixbox-page with things I've got as gifts and trades and what I've bought and found.
Maija and Aino Salo
We are a mother and a grown-up daughter from Finland. We started to make miniatures in 2006, when we found many interesting and skillful blogs on Christmas holiday and were hooked at once. Aino had got some dollhouse furniture from her grandpa when she was a child, and that was a good start when we started to plan a miniature-grandma's house from the 1950's. The original project is still under construction, but there has also come some new projects besides it. Welcome to our blog, Miniasiat mielessä, to see what's up right now.
Tiina a.k.a. Millimari
I am also a Finnish mini enthusiast. All my life I have been attracted to all things miniature but it wasn't until 2003 that I got really involved in this hobby. My doll's houses and roomboxes mainly feature modern interiors, modern meaning to me anything and everything from the 1920s onwards. I'm especially fond of the Art Deco style, and one of my plans is to decorate a doll's house in that style.
When taking on a new project, first I write a story depicting who is living there and what has happened to my character. After this I will start designing the interior. In fact, most of the inhabitants in my doll's houses and roomboxes are "related" to one another.
In addition to buying ready-made miniatures, I enjoy making them myself, also from trash; I'm very curious and want to try a-new-to-me technique at least once.
To me the best about this hobby is the versatility - you can use many different skills to accomplish what you want and there's no right or wrong way to do your miniatures. Welcome to Millimari's blog.
Johanna Janhonen (a.k.a. JJ)
I come from Finland and I started my dollhouse hobby in 2000 (few years earlier I started collecting bears, I don't know if there is a connection between these hobbies) and after that it has been my major hobby. Since the beginning I used Internet to find other people who are addicted to dollhouses and still it is one of the nicest things. My dollhouses and projects are mainly modern (the oldest being a dollhouse from 1970's) since I find it exciting to think how to make every day items in miniature. At the moment I don't have that much time for the hobby since my kids are quite small but I'm not in a hurry anyway - I plan to continue this hobby for the rest of my life. Links to my dollhouse pages are listed in my Mini treasures blog. Read also how this site was born.

Thanks Millimari-Tiina for introduction :). You are already famous for your trash miniatures - you have got very good ideas and I hope you can share them also in this wiki :). And I'm asking you to be the godmother for the Art Deco page - just add some of your favorite links there as a starters so that it will be easier for others to contribute after that.

Thanks Maija&Aino for introduction. I love the detailed handcrafts you are making, just awesome! Themed projects are always inspiring me and the 1950s is so tasty era... What are your favorite links for digging into 1950's world? I hope you can add them to http://minitreasures.pbworks.com/1950 :).

Thanks Minna for introduction :). We have shared interests: Moomin and crocheting and I was also fascinated by Jim's printables in the beginning. I like the clothes you have created for your dolls and have been following for your projects for years now. I hope you feel home here and maybe you could some of your favourite links or tips here :).

Thanks Helene for introduction :). I also used to have a Lundby when I was kid and now I have one waiting to be furnished. When I started this hobby I also made doll stories but now I lack of time but some day I´ll continue. Having background stories for the dolls is fun, I agree with you :). I just created links to new pages about Norway, Stockholm house and pub, it would be nice if you added some links to them.

Thanks Mary for introduction :). You have a long hobby history behind! It would be nice if you added links to your projects (Christmas House, Haunted House, Gazebo, office room box) to the specified pages as well as your favorite links - so far the links are mainly added by me so there is a lot of Finnish links because I know them best. And I agree with you: this is very fascinating hobby and I could spend all my time doing this ;). You said you are working on fossils - sounds really interesting, let´s create a page for them too! :)

Hi Béatrice and thanks for introducing yourself :). So we started this hobby at the same time and we have other things in common too: I like bears too. I hope you add links to your projects (dutch dollhouse, a dollhouse for bears, a great castle) to the wiki pages too. And maybe you could add the best French miniature sites as well since I might not be aware of them. Great to have you here :).

Hi Katy! Your story is so fascinating, thanks for sharing it. I don´t know the trademarks you mentioned but added links to them - if you wish you could add some links to them to share your knowledge with us. Sindies are cute and retro toys are just adorable, I love them too. Welcome to the wiki team :).

Hi Everyone, I am Judy. I have worn practically every hat in the mini world there is! I started as a scratch builder and collector, had a retail store for 30+ years, taught miniature making, especially to children, I have had articles published over the years in various mini mags, I am a show vendor with my own creations and now have a full Online Shop with everything you need and want! My site is handled the same way my storefront was: pour a cup of coffee, browse around, ask your questions and share you love of dollhouse miniatures. I have an interesting social media presence as well. I hope you check out my site and see if I can be of any help with your mini building and collecting! www.justminiaturescale.com
