Miniature glove projects for dollhouses, roomboxes and dioramas
Gloves, mittens mitts, what does your little person wear?
Once upon a time, no self-respecting lady would go out without a hat, bag and gloves, putting her best foot (shoe) forward.
Now there are gardening gloves, dishwashing gloves....

Tips/Hints
- cut tiny pieces of thread and glue to the backs of the hands to simulate that trim you see on real gloves. Be careful NOT to touch those pieces until they are dry. While they are drying, press down the cut ends so that nothing sticks up. This is sort of a delicate area, so be very careful, if you break the hand, you cannot really glue it back on to stay. Uless those threads are glued down well, they could come off when handled. When dry, paint the hands and over the threads just up to where the wrists begin. Then take tissue paper (Kleenex) and wet it. When wet it is moldable in a way. Carefully cover the hands excluding the fingers, up beyond the wrist. When it is beginning to dry, pull out the tissue around the wrist using a dull ended toothpick , so that when flares a bit like real gloves. If need be, add a tiny bit more tissue to this area....and pressing it with your
fingers all the time. When fully dry, repaint hand and fingers, as well as inside and outside of the wrist flare. When dry, finisht it again with Mod Podge. While not quite dry, just lightly pat with your index finger to give it a little bit of wrinkling like real leather would look. At this point you might add some very tiny no-hole beads in gold, pearl or silver to simulate buttons. This takes a long time actually, so approach it very carefully, but it really gives the illusion (all miniature work is illusion) that the gloves are real.
