Hi there!

I am the mum of Mini treasures wiki and have been a miniaturist since 2000. I got the idea of miniature advent Calendar on 2003 and have been arranging them every year since, not all by myself but still. My miniature hobby is at the moment just a distant dream for me - I am in the middle of my rush years and thus don't have time for it. However this year I have made some time for it: i started vlogging and am using miniature scenes on them. I also use my miniature dolls whenever I need to take a #selfie. What do I mean by that? Need a selfie? Well, as a social media consultant I need to study and learn about social media services and things related to that all the time.

But today is my day on advent calendar. I was wondering what to show you as I have shown my Christmas miniatures many times already. So this time I am telling you a story related to my childhood Christmas.

I grew up reading cartoons. I loved especially The Peanuts. They taught me a lot about American way of living - back then Halloween and Valentine's Day were not celebrated in Finland.

I am sure many of you also remember this poor Christmas tree of Charlie Brown.

We could easily re-create one for our own dollhouses...

(You can do better one without a kit I guess)

When I chose to fill this day with Charlie Brown I did not know the tree is special this year in United States too. In Reading city they had chosen an official Christmas tree that people really hated - way too ugly for us! The city was about to change the tree but then they got another idea - our tree could be our Charlie Brown tree! So they did and on Saturday they are going to decorate the tree - with one red ball of course. Interesting to see how big that ball is.

Or if you are not into Christmas trees maybe you could decorate one of your plants,

(e.g. your bonsai tree) for this Christmas with this poor Charlie and his kite?

Thanks Anne! Well it is a different kind of story than people usually share here but dollhouse miniature hobby is for collectors too. I was wondering if someone is collecting miniature Peanuts - would love to see a collection :).
