Carolyn Denning shared this Christmas book box along with her wishes for a Merry Christmas to all.
She says:
I bought the book at Michael's last December when they were half price, and constructed the bay window in the front cover
and built the fireplace in pieces, making the surround so it slid into the white mantelpiece. At a Sue Veeder workshop in Chicago, I marbleized the surround and hearth. When I returned home, I assembled the fireplace with no worries about wet paint!
The painting over the fireplace is a watercolor done by my friend Martha South, who lives in Louisiana. I think the church in the dome was done by Sandra Manring. The ceramic house and tree are Sylvia Mobley. The nativity on the fireplace was a kit.
The trees in the window are Arnold Volker. The German pyramid candle is from a kit.
Carolyn was kind enough to make up this tutorial PDF, a brilliant Christmas present to us all!
